As Stone Bridge’s resident Millennial, a group to which social media and blogs are the norm, Joseph brings a fresh mindset to the firm. With his experience in algorithmic (or rules-based) trading strategies, Joseph will add value to Stone Bridge’s clients by improving the robustness of our investment strategies through his quantitative approach. As a resident of Knoxville, TN, he will join David in business development in that part of the State. Prior to joining Stone Bridge, Joseph spent 8 years assisting in the management of his family’s assets, focusing on options’ strategies dealing with equities and market volatility. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Joseph spent some time during and after college as a professional DJ. We feel he is in good company, as Goldman Sachs’ CEO, David Solomon, also has been known to spin a record or two at a party.

David’s investment career spans almost 25 years working for corporations, municipalities, and families. He gained his fixed income expertise as a portfolio manager at Unum (formerly Provident Insurance Company), shepherding a $2 billion portfolio. It’s counter-intuitive, but he’s a highly entrepreneurial fixed income guy who loves to explore calculated risks to provide enhanced returns for nominal (or minimal) additional risk. His claim to fame is effecting a trade approaching $1 billion. He has added experience structuring municipal debt transactions and can tell several exciting stories about the nuances of that world. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2002 and co-founded Stone Bridge with Erik in 2011. He’s had the honor and privilege of serving as President of Signal Centers, only one of the many organizations in which David has dedicated time. David graduated from Emory University and holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He and his wife, Paula, have two children and reside in Knoxville, TN. When not commuting, David enjoys pursuing golf as a good walk spoiled.

Tom’s dedicated close to 40 years to building and maintaining rich client relationships. We believe his network thinks “trustworthy, steadfast and sincere” when they think of Tom. He joined the financial services industry in 2007, bringing diverse business experience and perspective that enhances his advisory practice and strengthens the investment firm. He shares the firm’s passion to partner with clients in identifying and pursuing life goals. It’s rewarding when Tom is asked for advice by his clients that is not investment related; in that seat, he’s a full-service resource. Tom is an active member of the Chattanooga community, with CBMC-Chattanooga as one of his favorite organizations and boards. Tom received a Bachelor in Business Administration and Marketing from The University of Tennessee – Chattanooga. He’s a Kingdom Advisor, a Money Map coach and holds the Series 65 investment license. He and his wife, Del, have three children and four grandchildren and reside in Signal Mountain, TN. On his off hours, he’s doing whatever the grandchildren ask him to do.

Erik brings international and institutional investment perspectives to the team, having begun his career in the Czech Republic working for both a local bank and an emerging equity fund. He enjoyed his European professional adventures between 1995 and 2004, but his claim to fame was gathering a piece of the Berlin wall in the late 80’s during yet another European escapade. He returned to Chattanooga in 2004 with his Czech bride and teamed up with David at Merrill Lynch to advise individuals and families. With complementary investment philosophies and in the pursuit of greater independence, the partners co-founded Stone Bridge Asset Management in 2011. Erik holds degrees from New York University's Stern School of Business, Johns Hopkins' SAIS, and Georgetown University. He earned his CFA designation in 2002 and is a qualified Kingdom Advisor. He and his wife, Denisa, have two children and reside in Signal Mountain, TN. On his off hours, he can be found spending time with his family, playing soccer, pursuing spiritual growth with like-minded Christian men, and leading mission trips to the Czech Republic.

Stefanie is a wealth and banking veteran of 20+ years and shares the team's passion for helping clients maximize the benefits of wealth accumulation. She says it’s about more than making money; having fun along the way is a must. Stefanie spent many years with a national bank advising clients with their trust, investment and banking needs. She discovered her inner-entrepreneur in 2007 when she joined a Chattanooga-based start-up bank which later sold. While there and with her team, she launched a trust and wealth group. Her experience includes roles in marketing, communications, investor relations, community outreach and strategic planning. Stefanie’s passion for service is evident with her roles on numerous boards spanning two decades. She’s a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She and her husband, Chip, have two children and reside in North Chattanooga. When not with her family, she may be found in a yoga studio or with The JumpFund as an angel investor funding and mentoring female-led start-ups.
